East Pier is in the enviable position of having a beautifully appointed, relaxing bar from where you gaze out over the ocean from any point .There is a wonderful array of tap and bottled beers from around NZ and the rest of the world. For the more adventurous there is a comprehensive cocktail list from which to choose. The wine list has been designed to cater for every palate with a magnificent array of Hawke’s Bay, NZ wide and international labels.

A bar snacks menu operates from early until late 7 days per week and includes a selection of mouthwatering platters to share.

The bar has its own private entrance away from the brasserie and has several sets of French doors which lead out onto the stunning all weather decks. These decks are

fitted with transparent wind shields, several mushroom heaters and undercover areas so you can enjoy a drink, snack or smoke alfresco 12 months of the year in comfortable surroundings without losing that magnificent view. Ideal for families as the kids can run off and play on the beach away from any roads and always in your sight.

The bar is made up of a mixture of comfortable lounge style seating and higher bar type seating to cater for all preferences, and the roaring real flame gas fire complements the contemporary artwork and colour scheme perfectly. A newspaper/magazine rack, pool table, and big screen tv's ensure you’ll never be bored or miss the big sporting event.
